Revered as one of the top Thai restaurants in America, Lotus of Siam is an award winning establishment located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The owner wanted an update to the visual design of the existing site to better convey their menu selection.
ROLE
Web Designer
Work with a developer to provide all assets and UI specifications.
It was important for the owner to keep elements of Thai culture and initial brand incorporated to the visual design.

Menu & Navigation
Offering a wide variety of both food and wine selections, the menu needed to be built so visitors could clearly find available options. Also, a sticky top navigation component was requested.
Responsive Friendly
Making the site mobile ready was important, as over 60% of traffic was coming to their site from review sites, such as Yelp and OpenTable, via mobile device.
Color Usage
In traditional Thai culture black is viewed as a color representing bad luck or mourning, so it was asked to keep it muted and minimal on the site. Gold and green were preferred as primary colors.
